Irreplaceable was exhibited at The Courtyard Gallery in Solihull in the Winter Folk group exhibition (12 Dec. 2025 - 10 Jan. 2026).
H 61cm, W 61cm, D 3.8cm
original painting
acrylics on deep canvas
ready to hang
white wooden frame
While creating this painting, I thought about glaciers melting and how they cannot be replaced within a human timescale. I wanted to convey the beauty and impermanence of fresh water sources. In my work I always like to offer hope, so here I am exploring the theme of renewal - snow falling, fresh water freezing, melting and flowing, in a hopeful cycle of renewal. This painting is a reminder for us to appreciate and preserve what is essential to us, before it is gone.
